I don’t always have time or new sessions to blog every day, but I know I can come up with at least one photo you haven’t seen. So now begins my commitment to you of at least one image per day. Just assume the small print says “when I’m at home in Los Angeles or able to upload photos when traveling” because I do have several trips coming up that will cause me to miss at least a day here & there. I have to give the disclaimer before I put on the ring.
Kitricia again:

And to be fair, Orange:

I especially like taking photos of people and flowers. I have a huge collection of flower photos but instead of bombarding you (for now) I just want to share some recent ones from a trip to Huntington Gardens in San Marino. I absolutely love that place, especially on the first Thursday of the month when it’s free. : )
Look at that bokeh!!! Bokeh (the circular balls of light out of focus in this pic) is one of my favorite parts of a photograph. I love it so much I’m considering it as a name for a future dog or child.

My accompaniment for the day:
Yeah, I just followed them around all day while they loved on each other.
I really like the pic on the right in part because of the photo being taken in the background.

Beginning September 1st, my Headshot Packages will go up to the following rates:
Starving Artist: $150
Series Regular: $300
Academy Winner: $425
A la Carte and Mini-Sessions prices will remain the same.
If you’ve already booked a session for September, don’t worry — your rates are locked in. But if you’re thinking of booking and want the current rates, you should schedule your shoot to take place in August!

Because she liked her B&W pic best….thought she might like this in B&W, too : )

I’ve kept these flowers past their prime because I think they look just as beautiful at the end of their rope, no? They ended up being a funny little prop for DB’s headshots, too (see below). We have actual flower vases but I like the way this Raw Milk container looks the best.

Well on its way to becoming my signature self-portrait shot:
I started giving peace signs to make fun of people who give peace signs and somewhere along the way actually became one of them. But it’s still a little tongue-in-cheek.
I’ve been wearing that pink shirt pretty much every day this summer that I haven’t had a show or rehearsal. I got it at a thrift store in Savannah. I have a closet full of clothes but go through phases where I wear an outfit over and over and over until I don’t wear it again.

Supposed to be kissy-face but we missed the mark a little bit. Will have to try again.:

Someone asked about the “skinny” kitties to which I referred in my last post, so here are some pics (like I needed a reason to post them.) They are both perfect yet very different (aside from being the same species).
Kit can be super sweet and also act very entitled. She comes to sleep on my pillow as soon as I lay down and stays there all night, wrapped around my head. She cannot stand Oliver, even though we got him to keep her company while we were gone for many hours at a time. She loves to go outside (supervised) and is very obedient when it comes to scratching in only the right places and stopping bad behavior when I yell or snap my fingers at her. She’s very smart.

Oliver is the nicest guy you’ll meet…He always wants to snuggle and loves visitors (except once when he was sitting next to SR and randomly hissed at her. SO very out of character!) He has never stopped trying to lay and play with Kit, though she rarely puts up with it. Therefore they wrestle and she bites and they chase each other around the house a lot — very funny yet dangerous now that we have all hardwood. He’s very funny but hasn’t seemed to learn the “rules” as well as Kit has. So he’s constantly doing annoying things like jumping on the table or scratching the couch but I swear he just seems to have no idea.

They both greet us at the door no matter how long we’ve been gone and are almost always in the same room as us. They both “talk” to us often, Kit in a squeaky feminine voice and Oliver in a lower-pitched scratchy one. They both allow me to hold them without much fuss, even when it’s my idea. They’re both pretty good about coming when called.
Two funny pics from years ago:
1. Kit on a potty break during our move from Denver

2. Oliver being photogenic
