Your Session

January 29, 2010

Whether it be a headshot or portrait session, it’s best for everyone to arrive in a happy and content state:  well-rested, well-fed, well-groomed.  I will start shooting almost immediately as we get to know each other so I can adjust my camera settings to the light situation.  There’s hopefully never any pressure for you to perform, especially in a portrait session, as the best shots are often when you’re just being yourself.  I like to get a mix of candid and posed shots.  Any ideas you may have, I want to hear them!

Vivid colors look best on camera — wear what you know looks good on you.  If you aren’t sure, bring some options and I’ll help you decide.  Accessories & props are always welcome.  Layering your clothes is an easy way to add great color & an element of interest.
